Rasida Anwar Rural Educational & Charitable Trust was founded on the conviction that rural communities possess boundless potential when provided with foundational education, healthcare security, legal literacy, and sustainable agricultural tools.
Headquartered at Baraghuni in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, RARECT works hand-in-hand with village elders, youth, women’s collectives, and local institutions to address acute challenges of poverty, illiteracy, and healthcare access.

Jafar Khursed Memorial Institute
Free Child Education Centre • Primary & Foundational Learning
The Jafar Khursed Memorial Institute is RARECT’s flagship child education centre dedicated to providing completely free, high-quality foundational education, textbooks, stationery, and nutritional support to underprivileged rural children who would otherwise risk remaining out of school.
Core Objectives & Focus:
- Provide zero-cost foundational education and homework mentoring to village children
- Foster strong literacy, numeracy, and scientific curiosity from early childhood
- Provide free study kits, notebooks, writing materials, and winter clothing
- Instill moral values, creative arts, and physical fitness in a safe, caring learning space
- Actively counsel parents to prevent child labor and ensure uninterrupted schooling
Centre Highlights:
- • Completely free of charge for all enrolled students
- • Dedicated local teachers and mentors providing individual attention
- • Periodic health checkups and supplementary nutrition for all enrolled children
- • Active community participation with parent-teacher engagement meetings
